Pakistan: "Nawaz won’t return, he will be brought back": Fawad

December 29, 2021 01:00 AM

Islamabad, Pakistan's Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Tuesday asserted that the government will bring self-exiled former prime minister Nawaz Sharif back to the country as he would never be allowed to return himself, Dawn reported on Wednesday.

Speaking at a joint press conference with National Security Adviser Dr Moeed Yusuf after a meeting of the federal cabinet, Fawad Chaudhry said: “Nawaz Sharif will never return home voluntarily, rather the government will bring him back once the agreement with the UK government is finalised.”

He further claimed that a recent statement by former National Assembly speaker Ayaz Sadiq that he was going to London to bring back Nawaz Sharif to Pakistan had gotten the Sharif family in Jati Umra worried, adding that the government had finalised matters with the United Kingdom regarding the return of Nawaz Sharif.
