BEWARE OF RUMOURS REGARDING ANOTHER COVID RESTRICTIONS FROM MONDAY: DEPUTY COMMISSIONER WARNS RUMOUR MONGERS FOR STRICT ACTION AGAINST MISLEADING MESSGAES ON SOCIAL MEDIA PEOPLE SHOULD CHECK VERACITY OF MESSAGES ON SOCIAL MEDIA RELATED TO COVID CURBS

JALANDHAR,  Urging people to beware of rumours regarding another set of restrictions pertaining to COVID-19, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori categorically said that there were no such curbs and instructions by Administration.

In a strict warning to rumour mongers, Ghanshyam Thori said that those found indulged in spreading said misinformation in a section of social media platforms would be dealt with heavy hand. It was found  that a message was being made viral in a section of social media platform about the opening of essential commodities shops with time from Monday onward, which is unfounded in totality. He said that Administration had not issued such restriction and people should beware from these kinds of misleading messages. He also appealed the people to first check the veracity of instructions come to their notice amid spike in COVID cases.
