Haryana CS directed departments to upload hindi translation of all Acts on their website– Chief Secretary

Chandigarh: Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal today directed the officers to prepare district-wise master trainers to impart Hindi language training to the employees of the subordinate courts in the state. Apart from this, administrative terminology of Hindi language will also be prepared.


The Chief Secretary reviewed the progress of implementation of use of Hindi language in subordinate courts in the state here today.
The Chief Secretary further directed all the departments to upload the Hindi translation of all the Acts and Rules of their department so that the general public will also be able to understand the details of the Acts and Rules.


Kaushal also urged the representative of Punjab and Haryana High Court to take necessary steps to impart training of Hindi language to the advocates and other staff at the High Court. He also urged the Haryana Public Service Commission to include Hindi language along with English as a medium in the HCS (Judicial Branch) examination. He said that most of the work in the Revenue Court in Haryana is done in Hindi language.


It was informed in the meeting that the Industrial Training Department is running a one year course in Stenography (Hindi) in 54 ITIs and 1441 students were enrolled in this course.


In the meeting, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and Director General of Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal apprised about the steps taken regarding the use of Hindi language in the subordinate courts so far. He further informed that the office of Advocate General, Haryana has shared the detailed information about Hindi software, hardware, Stenographers (Hindi & English) in the courts and tribunals which is helping in achieving the aim of implementing the Hindi Language in Subordinate courts.


In the meeting, Chairman of the Haryana State Higher Education Council Prof. B. K Kuthiala said that the Council will impart training of Hindi language to the staff of courts and offices at Panipat as a pilot project. Those who will attend this training programme will be given certificates. Apart from this, the council will also consider short term courses of translation from English to Hindi
language.

Advocate General of Haryana, Sh. Baldev Raj Mahajan, Principal Secretary of Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture Department, Sh. Anurag Agarwal, Principal Secretary of Higher Education Department, Sh. Vijayendra Kumar, Commissioner and Secretary of Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Department, Sh. Vijay Singh Dahiya, other senior officers and representatives of Punjab and Haryana High Court were also present in the meeting.
