JALANDHAR: Surinder Singh Badwal has achieved great success as a Dhol Player in the Punjabi music world with his hard work. Son of Shingara Singh and Gurdev Kaur, Surinder Singh Badwal took training from Ustad Raj Kumar to pursue his hobby. Badwal was fond of playing Dhol since childhood. His family also supported him in his passion. Surinder Singh Badwal's Father used to take him to his teacher at a young age. During school time he continued to participate in competitions.
After school Education, Surinder Singh Badwal started going to Artist's stage with his teacher . As his Dhol Playing skills improved, he started going alone with artists. Surinder Singh Badwal has become a successful dhol player thanks to the association of Ustads. He has played Dhol with many Artists. First of all, He started going on stage with Singer Hardev Chahal. Apart from him, he worked for a long time with Nirmal Nimma, Santokh Shounki, Eknoor Sidhu, Neha Sharma and Gurjan. At present, he has been working permanently as a Dhol Player with Punjabi Folk Singer Balraj for three years. Nowadays, Surinder Singh Badwal is living with his family in village Palli Jhikki district Nawanshahr and is enthusiastically serving Punjabi music.
