BJP-Punjab Lok congressSAD Dhindsa alliance announced its list of candidates. BJP leader Kunwar Narinderpal Singh has been announced as the candidate from Jagraon constituency. While addressing a press conference, Singh said that Jagraon is facing acute issues and people are struggling even for basic needs like water drainage, sanitation, parking system and various other things. He mentioned that as per his observation, people in villageshave got nothing more than fake promises by leaders.
"I am a retired Tehsildar and pretty aware of problems faced by people on ground level so, my prime motive will be to help civilians with their everyday problems if given a chance to serve people," he said.When he was questioned about his late arrival in the election race, he cited the example of rabbit and tortoise race and stated "slow and steady wins the race". Talking about opposition of BJP in rural areas, he said that the circumstances have changed now and people from villages want him to conduct meetings with them.
He also mentioned that he would like to work for the welfareof media fraternity and people are free to contact him anytime in time of need. At this occasion, BJP leaders including Gaurav Khullar, Dr. Rajinder Sharma, Balaur Singh, Sanchit Gargelaborated on life and achievement of candidate Kunwar Narinder Singh and congratulated him also, they officially commenced election campaign.
