SANGRUR: The department of Punjab School Education board, Punjab has started District Level Teachers' Festival(DLTF). Under this festival competitions among the teachers of the various subjects like Science, Mathematics, English, Social Studies, Punjabi, Computer Science and Hindi were conducted at Meritorious School, Ghabbad. This festival was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner, Sangrur, Ramvir and District education officer Malkit Singh Khosa.
Deputy district education officer, Dr. Amritpal Singh Sidhu said that various models were created by the teachers to inculcate interest among the students in their subject and to cultivate their inner interests and they were skillfully presented to the guests and to the subject experts. He said that a total of 129 teachers from 12 blocks of the district including three teachers of each subject (who had been already selected at the block level competitions) have participated with great enthusiasm in festival. Earlier, Principal of Meritorious School, Ghabdan. Dr. Manish Sharma while welcoming all the teachers and officials who participated in this function said that this festival would also continue till 28th August 2021 and the result of these competitions would be announced after the completion of program, tomorrow.
Among the prominent, Surinder Singh Bharur, State Awardee; Sukhvir Singh from Diet Sangrur; Parmal Singh Teje, Preetinder Ghai, Dildeep Kaur, Bipan Chawla all Principals of various schools and following District Mentors of various subjects like Science, Harmandeep Singh; Math, Pradeep Singh; English, Mohammad Ikhlaq; Computer Science, Mohammad Arif; Hindi, Shubhalta, Punjabi Sashi Bala were present on the occasion.
