Ferozepur : Under the Indian Swachhta League Program 2.0 being celebrated across the country, Municipal Council Ferozepur organized a huge cleanliness rally with the gathering of students from different schools, colleges, youth of the city, volunteers and members of various organizations.
This rally was flagged off by MLA of Ferozepur Urban Constituency Ranbir Singh Bhullar, which was taken out from Municipal Park to Panchavati Hotel. All the volunteers raised slogans to make Ferozepur city clean in this rally and made people aware about cleanliness.
Meanwhile, MLA Ranbir Singh Bhullar said that this rally has been organized to make people aware about keeping the city clean to make the number one clean city of Punjab. He said that efforts are being made by the Punjab government to make the cities clean and green without using single-use plastic. He praised all the volunteers and especially the staff of the municipal council and asked to do more such programs in the future.
After this, a seminar related to cleanliness was conducted by the group of volunteers at Panchavati Hall. During this, Gurinder Singh Chief Sanitary Inspector and Gurdev Singh Program Coordinator Municipal Council Ferozepur welcomed the chief guests and all the dignitaries and told them about cleanliness, not using single use plastic, segregation of garbage, use of dustbin etc. besides awareness was given on the subjects.
After this, Dr. Kamal Baghi, Brand Ambassador of Ferozepur City of Swachh Bharat Mission, also gave a message to the city residents about cleanliness.
Apart from this, the Municipal Engineer of Municipal Council Charanpal Singh, Chief Sanitary Inspector Gurinder Singh, Chief Guest, President Press Club and Ferozepur City's Swachh Soldier Team were presented with award of honour including the students of different schools and colleges.
On this occasion, Chairman Balraj Singh Katora, Raj Bahadur Singh, Amarinder Brar, Himanshu Thakkar, Gopal Gupta, Lakhwinder Singh, Surjit Vilasara, Manmeet Singh Mithu, Rinku Sodhi, Group Sanitary Mate, Group Sanitation Sevak (Cleaning Soldier), Shri Simranjit Singh, Group Motivators were also present.
