Punjab government gives big relief to needy by doubling the pension- MLA Angad Singh

The state government led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has doubled the social security pension to provide relief to the poor and needy. This was stated by the MLA of Nawanshahr, Angad Singh while distributing pension cheques  to the beneficiaries during the district level function organized at the local Senior Secondary Smart School, Nawanshahr today. He said that the enhancement of pension from Rs 750 to Rs 1500 by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is another milestone in the direction of overall development. He said that this initiative of the Punjab Government has brought great relief to the elderly, widows, destitute children and differently-abled beneficiaries. He said that increasing the amount of Aashirwad Yojana to Rs 51,000 is a commendable step of the government which has helped in raising the standard of living of the needy families. He said that 70,000 beneficiaries of the district would get the benefit of increasing social security pension. Later he himself distributed pension cheques to the beneficiaries at various places in the district during various programmes including Saloh, Langaroa, Kariha, Urapar and Bharata Kalan. On this occasion, District Social Security Officer Santosh Virdi, President of Reform Trust Dr. Kamaljeet, City Council President Sachin Dewan, Councilors Chet Ram Ratan, Parveen Bhatia, Balwinder Bhumbla, Kulwant Kaur and Jasbir Kaur Badwal, former Councilors Romi Khosla and Rachna Chhabra, Lalit Sharma, Karan Dewan, Jaideep Jangra, Rohit Chopra, Sunil Kumar, Omtapara Jatinder Kaur, Ina, Aditya, Narinder Saini and other celebrities were present.
