PGIMER Dr. Navneet Singh conferred with the Clifton Mountain Lectureship Award by the International Association

CHANDIGARH: Dr. Navneet Singh MD DM, Professor of Pulmonary Medicine and Faculty-in-charge of the Lung Cancer Clinic at PGIMER, Chandigarh was conferred the Clifton Mountain Lectureship Award by the International Association for Study of Lung Cancer (IALSC) during a plenary session at its annual World Conference on Lung Cancer held recently at Singapore.

 

 

Earlier in June this year, he was conferred a lifetime Fellowship of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (FASCO) during the opening ceremony of the ASCO Annual Meeting at Chicago, USA. Prof. Singh thus becomes the first individual from the country and the South Asian region to have received both of these honors.

 


Prof. Singh has been working as a faculty at PGIMER for the past 15 years and specializes in thoracic oncology, especially targeted therapies and immunotherapy for the treatment of lung cancer. 

 

He is the Convenor/coordinator for PGIMER’s multidisciplinary thoracic oncology group that received IASLC’s Lung Cancer Care Team Award in 2019. Dr. Singh holds/has held several important positions at the international level including Chairperson of ASCO’s Expert Panels/Groups for developing guidelines on the management of advanced and metastatic lung cancer.
