These words were said by the Executive Vice-Chairman of Swachh Bharat Mission, Haryana, Subhash Chandra during the intensive cleanliness campaign in Ward 6 on Tuesday. He said that it is the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Manohar Lal that our society should be clean and beautiful. Serious efforts are being made to take the Swachh Bharat Mission to the last person and implement it at the grassroots level, which is also showing the expected results. But we are still far away from our objective, to achieve which district-level sanitation task force will be formed soon. Such people and social organizations will be included in this task, who have the passion and dedication of cleanliness.
Subhash Chandra said that how sensitive the central and state government is towards this campaign is known from the fact that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also asked everyone to join the cleanliness campaign and take it forward. At the same time, Chief Minister Manohar Lal himself monitors this campaign from time to time. He has also taken its report from him recently and as per his instructions, now intensive cleanliness campaign has been started in the most backward and deprived habitations of the city.
He said every citizen should fulfill his responsibility in this. If the environment around the house is clean, then diseases will not flourish. Dengue and malaria spreading larvae thrive in the water stored here and there, so there is a possibility of allergies due to dirt. If the cleanliness around the houses deteriorates, it affects the health.
He appealed to citizens to maintain cleanliness in their homes to maintain their health and also to make the environment around their homes beautiful. He wanted them to clean the cooler and water tank every week. This is good for the country and the society. We know that the environment has an effect on health, he said.
