Bhatia hails voluntary body for holding blood camps

Youth Sports and Blood Donation Association was honored for playing a pioneering role in the field of blood donation during the International Life Saver Award Ceremony organized by NIFA in Panipat. President Dhanpat Saini received the honor on behalf of the organization. The chief guest, MP Sanjay Bhatia honored him by giving mementoes and certificates.

This program was organized at Arya PG College under the chairmanship of NIFA President Preetpal Singh Pannu. Apart from the members of the organization, representatives of Smile Foundation Yamunanagar, Shri Balaji Yuva Manch Khurdi, Yuva Shakti Alahar and Red Cross Society Yamunanagar were also honored in the program.

Dhanpat Saini, President of Youth Sports and Blood Donation Association, said that 1500 blood donation camps were organized by NIFA across the country on 23 March 2021 on the occasion of Martyr's Day, in which one lakh units of blood were collected. The camps were organised to ensure that there is no shortage of blood during the Corona crisis.

Besides Youth Sports and Blood Donation Association, Smile Foundation Yamunanagar, Shri Balaji Yuva Manch Khurdi and Yuva Shakti Alahar had helped in setting up blood donation camps. In the midst of these services given by the organizations during the Corona crisis, this honor ceremony was organized to boost their spirits.

MP Sanjay Bhatia after honoring the representatives of the institutions, said that his organization has been continuously rendering its services in the field of blood donation for the last six years. By successfully organizing 15 blood donation camps on behalf of the organization, about 1800 units have been collected, which have come in handy to save the lives of the people.

Apart from the blood donation camp, the members of the organization have done the work of donating blood to more than 250 patients in the hospital.

On this occasion Shishpal, Dinesh Khurdi, Sanjeev Mehta, Sachin Joshi, Mukesh Saini, Vijay Dhiman, Ved Kamboj, Ashok Johal, Virendra Saini, Sandeep Thaska and Anil Saini were present.
