Chandigarh: The Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal, has urged the Union Minister of Railways, Communications & Electronics and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw for the installation of a magnificent statue of Samrat Hemchandra Vikramaditya in the central courtyard of the Railway Station in Rewari.
In a demi official letter, CM also expresses his sincere gratitude to Sh. Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Railways, Communications & Electronics and Information Technology, for the release of a commemorative postage stamp on the occasion of Samrat Hemchandra Vikramaditya's coronation on 7th October, 2023.
The spokesperson informed that the Chief Minister while supporting the public demand raised by Samrat Hemchandra Vikramaditya Manch, Rewari,has said the installation of the statue would not only pay homage to the remarkable achievements of Samrat Hemchandra Vikramaditya lovingly called as ‘Hemu’ by the people of Haryana, but also serve as an enduring source of inspiration for generations to come.
It may be recalled that Samrat Hemchandra Vikramaditya, had triumphed in 22 consecutive wars and emerged victorious over the forces of Emperor Akbar.
CM believes that this initiative aligns with the collective resolve of the Government and the people to preserve and celebrate the historical significance of Samrat Hemchandra Vikramaditya's life.
