Haryana Governor visits Haryana Pavilion at IITF Delhi

Chandigarh: Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatreya stated that at the 42nd International Trade Fair held at Pragati Maidan in Delhi, the Haryana Pavilion presented a visual narrative of the state's cultural heritage and its progress in trade and commerce.

He emphasized that this trade fair provides a platform for small self-help groups to large industries to trade their products.

After having round of the Haryana Pavilion at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) held at Pragati Maidan in Delhi on Sunday late evening, Governor Dattatreya interacted with media representatives.

He saw all the stalls in the pavilion with keen interest and had interaction with the stall operators. On his arrival at the pavilion, the Governor was welcomed by a traditional dance performance with drums .


He was also honored with a ‘Pagri’ which represents highest honour in Haryana . The Haryana Pavilion at this year's trade fair consisted of approximately 50 stalls, showcasing the cultural heritage, development, and trade activities of the state.

Speaking to media representatives after going around the Haryana Pavilion, the Governor stated that the pavilion was presented in a very attractive manner, combining tradition and rural surroundings with modern technology.

He highlighted the progress of industries in information technology, electronics and automobile sectors in Haryana, making it a leading industrial center in North India. Gurugram, he mentioned, has emerged as a hub for industrial and IT sectors and is often referred to as the Silicon Valley of India.

The Governor mentioned that Haryana's exports of various products now exceed 1.20 lakh crore rupees. He praised the growth of industries in Panipat, Sonipat, Hisar, and Faridabad, acknowledging the contributions of farmers and businessmen to the state's development.

Lauding the initiatives of the present Haryana government under Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal, the Governor highlighted the advancements in the IT sector and the implementation of e-governance.

He pointed out that e-governance has brought transparency in working of government departments , making schemes easily accessible to the public and curbing corruption.

Governor Dattatreya concluded by stating that Haryana has achieved a clean and crime-free environment from a developmental perspective. He praised efforts of the state government to provide employment by formation of self-help groups and added that Haryana is progressing in all sectors, including culture, sports, technology, and industry.

On this occasion, Dr. G Anupama, Chief Administrator of the Haryana Trade Fair Authority and General Manager Shri Anil Chaudhary were also present among other dignitaries.
