Haryana Govt approves 2 new police stations in Sonipat district

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has granted administrative sanction for the establishment of 2 new police stations in the village of Barota and Farmana of Sonipat district.

 

This decision comes in response to the growing needs of the area, with the aim of enhancing security and law enforcement services for the residents. Giving more information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that the Home Department had considered geographical and demographic factors, including the total area and population.

 

The new police to be established in Barota will serve around 58,100 people and the Police Station in Farmana is set to serve around 77,951 people of that area.

 

The village included in the proposed Farmana police station from Kharkhoda police station are Mahipur, Farmana, Nizampura Majra, Maujamnagar, Ridhau, Goradh, Bidhlana, Silana.

 

Similarly, the village to be included in Barota Police Station from Kharkhoda police station are Mandora, Mandauri, Halalpur, Turkpur, Jhinjholi. The aim is to optimize the distribution of law enforcement resources to better serve the community, he added.

 

The Haryana government, in accordance with established norms and regulations, has ensured that the creation of the new police station aligns with the prescribed standards.

 

The police department will actively address any existing vacancies and the allocation of staff from older police stations to the two new Police Stations.

 

This step reflects the Government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of its citizens. The establishment of the Barota and Farmana Police Stations is a strategic move to address the evolving law and order requirements in the Sonipat district, the spokesperson added.
