Chandigarh: The SARAS fair which is being organized by the Rural Livelihood Mission under the aegis of Ministry of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Government of HP enters in its eight day at Exhibition Ground, Sector 34 on Thursday.
The main attraction of the fair is the wide range of local products of Devbhoomi – Himachal Pradesh in more than a hundred stalls that are catching the eyes of local Chandigarh and tricity residents. The rural level entrepreneurial women through various Self Help Groups had made their handmade products and put up for exhibition and sale. These products include handlooms, organic farming products, apparel, medicinal herbs, cane furniture and other forms of items.
Another astonishing feature of the fair is the traditional dishes being served from 12 districts of HP for which a large number of people are coming to taste them. Cultural programs are also being presented during the fair. The fair will continue till February 12.
