Memorial of Chief Khalsa Diwan Senior Leader Bhag Singh Ankhi to be erected at Central Khalsa Orphanage Chief Khalsa Diwan Launches Free Coaching for Recruitment of BSF (SSC) and Army Soldiers

Amritsar, A gathering of Diwan office bearers and members was held at the residence of Chief Khalsa Diwan President Nirmal Singh today under the chairmanship of President Nirmal Singh during which Deep sorrow was expressed at the eternal separation of senior leader of Chief Khalsa Diwan Bhag Singh Ankhi. On this occasion, President Nirmal Singh while recalling the selfless services rendered by Ankhi to the Chief Khalsa Diwan said that Ankhi who was associated with the Chief Khalsa Diwan since then has spent his entire life with pride. During his tenure he played a special role in the establishment, development and smooth running of many new schools of the Chief Khalsa Diwan and the Central Khalsa Orphanage. His main goal was to make orphans, especially the blind, literate and self-employed. Bhai Vir Singh Gurmat College (where many famous ragis, narrators, preachers of the Panth were formed), Tantisaj Museum, National Martyr Udham Singh Memorial Room, establishment of sports stadium and many other are his development works at the orphanage.Keeping in view his services, it was decided by the Diwan office bearers to erect a special memorial of Bhag Singh Ji Ankhi at the Central Khalsa Orphanage soon.
Talking about the free CKD Center for Competitive Examination being run by Chief Khalsa Diwan at Sri Guru Harkrishan International School, Ranjit Avenue, Honorary Secretary Savinder Singh Kathunangal, Vice President Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar shared information in the meeting. That two children who have taken free coaching from skilled and experienced teachers from the center have passed the Sub Inspector Recruitment Examination and the remaining three children are undergoing pre-recruitment and physical training for the Constable Recruitment Examination and each child's preparation is being taken care of individually. During the meeting he informed that further free coaching has been started for the students for the recruitment of BSF (SSC) and Army soldiers. On this occasion, the Diwan office bearers and members hoped for the selection, success and advancement of maximum number of students so that in future more and more students would reach the successful destinations of the future and brighten the name of the nation, center and family. Prominent amongst others who were present in the meeting included President Nirmal Singh, Patron Rajmohinder Singh Majitha, Honorary Secretary Savinder Singh Kathunangal and Ajit Singh Basra, Vice President Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar and Amarjit Singh Vikrant, Jaspal Singh Dhillon. Prof. Waryam Singh, Sukhjinder Singh Prince, Harneet Singh, Prof. Hari Singh etc. were present.
