Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab got a big boost in Jalandhar, on Tuesday, when BJP SC Morcha vice president Robin Sampla left the Bharatiya Janata Party and joined the AAP. Robin Sampla is a reputed SC leader of Jalandhar who has a particularly stronghold among the youth.

CM Bhagwant Mann officially inducted Robin Sampla, who is a close relative of former minister Vijay Sampla, to the Aam Aadmi Party. On this occasion Jalandhar central MLA Raman Arora was also present who welcomed Robin Sampla to the AAP family. Robin Sampla's support will strengthen the AAP for the upcoming LS polls in Jalandhar.

His exit from the BJP will weaken the party even more in Jalandhar, Robin Sampla was also BJP's SC Morcha vice president and his departure also means that the BJP will lose significant vote share in Jalandhar. The AAP is continuously gaining more ground in the hot seat of Jalandhar. The party is fielding Pawan Kumar Tinu as their candidate from Jalandhar.

Robin Sampla, after joining the Aam Aadmi Party, said that the AAP is the party which stands with its workers and volunteers. The AAP is the party of the common people, poor and dalits. He said that we have seen that the Mann government has been working for every section of Punjab without any kind of discrimination. He said that he didn't feel valued in the BJP which is a party of corrupt politicians only. He said that he is joining the AAP just as a volunteer and he will work hard in Jalandhar to help the party register a big win in the LS polls.
