Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday launched an attack on Senior Congress leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira.CM Mann while addressing the rally accused Sukhpal Singh Khaira of taking electricity worth lakhs for tube wells for free.
"I want to give you an evidence of his honesty. On 15-3-2018, Sukhpal Khaira wrote a letter to Power Corporation stating that I have 10 motors in Ramgarh. He wrote that I didn't want a subsidy and urged them to send the bills. He garnered a lot of praise for the gesture but I checked it with the power corporation. They informed me that he only wrote the letter but never filled out the form for leaving the subsidy. He was about to let go of the subsidy of Rs 4,36,500 per year but in reality, he didn't. I also have the number of all the connections in his name," CM Mann said.
CM Mann showed the number of the connections along with the handwritten letter reportedly by Sukhpal Khaira to PSPCL.
