Best dairy farmer will get a prize of Rs 5 lakh: DC

Rewari. August 31 is the last date to apply online for the National Gopal Ratna Award given by the Union Ministry of Animal Husbandry and Dairying. Interested cattle farmers can apply through the national award portal awards.gov.in till August 31.

Giving information, DC Rahul Hooda said that under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission, with the aim of encouraging milk producing farmers, dairy cooperative societies/FPOs and Artificial Insemination Technicians (AITs), this department has announced the Rashtriya Gopal Ratna Award in three categories during 2024.

Continuing the sequence of award, Best Dairy Farmer rearing registered indigenous cattle, Murrah Buffalo breeds, Best Dairy Cooperative Society (DCS)/Milk Producer Company (MPC)/Dairy Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) and Best Artificial Insemination Technician (AIT) ) have been included in this.


The DC informed that in the National Gopal Ratna Award 2024, the first two categories i.e. Best Dairy Farmer and Best DCS/FPO/MPC will be given a certificate of merit, a memento and a cash prize, which includes Rs 5 lakh for the first position, Rs 5 lakh for the second position and Rs. Three lakh rupees will be given for first place and two lakh rupees will be given for third place.

Whereas in case of Best Artificial Insemination Technician (AIT) category, all three categories will be honored with a certificate of merit and a memento. He informed that these awards will be given on the occasion of National Milk Day on 26th November.
