Pedalling to pay homage to Kargil war heroes, 12 Yrs old from Haryana meets SPL DGP

Chandigarh: Spl DGP Law and Order Arpit Shukla on Monday acclaimed and saluted the patriotic sentiments of a Haryana-based 12-years-old boy Arav Bhardwaj, who embarked on a 1200-km cycling journey from the Kargil War Memorial in Leh to pay homage to Kargil Martyrs on the occasion of Rajat Jayanti of Kargil Vijay. Commenced on July 27, 2024, the cycling journey will conclude at National War Memorial in New Delhi on Thursday.

 

Shukla, while giving his blessings to Arav, conferred him with a Punjab Police’s memento and also handed over a poster with a message “Say No To Drugs, Say Yes To Punjab” to spread a message against drugs.He said that Arav Bhardwaj is a an ambassador who is propagating a message against drugs and saluting the Kargil Heroes.

 

During his journey from Leh to Chandigarh, Arav paid tributes at various war memorials, including Zojila, Badami Bagh, and Punjab State War Memorial. Accompanied by his father, his 13-day expedition spans Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana.
