Special Mega Placement Camp for Women to Launch on September 10 at Malout, District Sri Muktsar Sahib: Dr. Baljit Kaur

Chandigarh: The Punjab Government will organize a special mega placement camp for women at Malout, District Sri Muktsar Sahib, on Tuesday, September 10. Similar employment camps will be held across all districts of the state, as shared by Dr. Baljit Kaur, Minister of Social Security, Women and Child Development.

 

Providing further details, Dr. Baljit Kaur stated that several well-known companies will participate in this camp, offering employment opportunities to women who have completed their 10th, 12th, graduation, or post-graduation. The camp is being organized by Social Security, Women and Child Development Department with the support of the Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Department, Punjab.

 

The Cabinet Minister added that various departments related to self-employment will also provide information on their self-employment schemes and offer loans to interested candidates.

 

Dr. Baljit Kaur urged the women of the state to ensure maximum participation in the mega placement camp. She directed all District Program Officers to make announcements in villages through Anganwadi Centers under their jurisdiction and encourage women to take full advantage of these camps.

 

She emphasized that, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is taking significant steps to ensure women’s participation in various fields, thereby empowering them and making them economically self-reliant. In line with this commitment, employment camps will be organized in all districts in the coming days.

 

Dr. Baljit Kaur also highlighted that the Punjab Government is prioritizing the upliftment of women's living standards and these employment camps are a crucial step in that direction. The aim of these camps is to provide women with employment opportunities suited to their skills.

 

She further stated that the primary goal of these camps is to bridge the gender gap in employment, promote economic empowerment and build confidence among women.
