After the agreement was reached between the farmers and the Haryana government here, it is believed that the Karnal template could be used for breaking the deadlock between Delhi Durbar and farmers.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal and some farmer leaders of Haryana can play an important role in reaching an agreement between the farmers and the government behind the scenes. In Karnal, the positive attitude of Chief Minister Manohar Lal, Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala and Home Minister Anil Bij was instrumental in getting the farmers to reach an agreement with the administration.
Apart from this, Jagdish Singh Jhinda, former head of Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, played an important role of a behind the scene facilitator. He acted as a bridge between the government and the farmers. He was also helped by Ratanman, the head of BKU.
This was revealed by Jhinda while speaking to journalists today. In response to a question, he said that if the government and the Kisan leaders give up a little bit of stubbornness, then there can be reconciliation between the Delhi Durbar and the farmers. This movement can be ended.
He said that if both sides want, he can play the role of facilitator in this dialogue. He said that nothing is gained from the agitation. The solution will come only through negotiations.
Jhinda said that former BJP district president Jagmohan Anand, district president Yogedra Rana, Asandh BJP leader Gulab Singh and MP Sanjay Bhatia played a key role in creating an environment for dialogue. With that, the Chief Minister could also be taken into confidence. The role of the Chief Minister was the most positive in this whole agreement.
Apart from him, Harpreet Singh Narula, a member of Haryana Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and his colleagues from Ambala, Yamunanagar also played a key role. Farmer leader Gurnam Singh Chadhuni very thoughtfully handled the situation.
Apart from this, DC Nishant Kumar Yadav, SP Gangaram Punia took some initiatives which helped in confidence building. History tells us that when Bhajan Lal was the Chief Minister, two farmers were martyred during the Kisan Andolan. Due to which everyone suffered. If there was no agreement, a bigger scandal than Nising could have taken place in Karnal. The positive attitude of Chief Minister Manohar Lal and farmer leader Gurnam Singh Chadhuni saved crisis from escalating.
