Kolkata: At least two people were injured after a fire broke out at Jaya Cinemas in Lake Town area, here on Friday night.
Total 15 fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the fire. According to fire officials, the fire broke out at the top floor of Jaya II, also known as Mini Jaya around 0945 hrs.
State fire minister Sujit Bose visited the spot and said the fire possibly broke out while the cinema hall’s caretaker and his wife were cooking food on the top floor of the building.
