Youth shot dead in Najafgarh

New Delhi, A 20-year-old man was shot dead while he was riding a car in Dwarka area, police said on Monday.

Deceased, identified as Tinku Kharab, was a resident Mundela Khurd of JP Kalla. The deceased is suspected to be a member of Manjeet Mahal gang.

Sources said that Kharab was shot dead by two unidentified attackers at Delhi’s Khaira Road near Najafgarh. Kharab was in the driver’s seat, and was alone in his i-20 car when his car was intercepted by one Swift Desire car having Haryana number plate.

Police said that PCR had received information about a firing incident near Khaira Mod. Police rushed to the spot and came to know that a youth, who was sitting in the driver's seat in a white colored i-20 car, had been shot. He had died on the spot. Police recovered a pistol from the crime scene.
In the preliminary investigation, cops found that the attackers were in white Swift Dzire. They had been following Tinku's car. After that, they overtook Kharab's car and stopped at a short distance from Khaira Mor and two men came out of the car and opened fire from both sides.

A case has been registered under relevant sections and a probe is ongoing, the police said.
