Mumbai, The BSE Sensex on Tuesday added another gains of 445.56 pts at 59,744.88 at close following gains in Oil and Gas, Telecom, Energy and Power stocks despite weak Asian Market.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too rose 131.05 pts at 17,822.30.
The market remained volatile today, as the Sensex opened higher by 21 pts at 59,320.14. It spurted nearly 479 pts at 59,778.87, days high, before closing at 59,744.88, up by 445.56 pts from its last close.
The Sensex registered days high and low at 59,778.87 and 59,127.04 pts respectively.
The Nifty recorded days high and low at 17,833.45 and 17,640.90 pts respectively.
Oil and Gas, Telecom, Energy and Power stocks boosted the market.
In scrips, IndusInd Bank was a star gainer up by 4.96 pc at 1175.15 followed by Bharti Airtel, HCL Technology, Reliance Industries and Titan however selling in Sun Pharma, ITC, Power, Ultracemco and Nestle India restricted from further gains, broker informed.
The Mid Cap rose by 0.33 pc and Small Cap by 0.54 pc. In 30 scrips, 20 advanced while 10 declined.
