Chhachhrauli :(RK Kashyap)-- A good swimmer can save someone's life, whenever flood like situation occurs. Taking any kind of training not only increases a person's confidence but also brings proficiency in him says SDM Rohit Kumar while speaking as the chief guest on the occasion of the inauguration of the five-day state level flood relief training camp organized by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department Haryana on the link channel of the Western Yamuna Canal near Hathini Kund Barrage on Monday.
He told the trainees that every swimmer must keep his energy more than the water before getting into it so that he can defeat the water for this every swimmer must be mentally prepared.
He said that 51 trainees and 13 instructors from all over the state were participating in this 5-day long flood relief training. He said that such trainings must be learnt to serve
humanity and protect society and when natural and unnatural disasters occur, better leadership was required to deal with the disaster at the right time and in the right manner because if people got better leadership when a disaster occurred then people get immediate help in dealing with the disasters. He called upon the trainees that they would learn and gain a lot of experience in this flood relief training camp, especially this type of training was very much needed to deal with disasters like floods.
In this training, the trainees will also be trained by experienced instructors of NDRF to deal with disasters like fire and earthquake etc. Excellent arrangements have been made for the stay and food of the trainees and instructors.
Chief Instructor Mukesh gave information about the activities of the flood relief training camp. He said that in this training camp, the trainees will be trained in driving motor boat in running water, rowing a boat with paddles, swimming and first aid etc.
On this occasion, District Revenue Officer Tarun Sahota, Civil Surgeon Dr. Manjit Singh, DIPRO Manoj Kumar, Block Development and Panchayat Officer Kartik Chauhan, Police Station Incharge Pratap Nagar Balkar Singh, Deputy Tehsildar Anand Rawal, Superintendent Tara Chand from FCR, Panchayat Officer Vikas Kumar, Patwari Ramphal, Manoj Kumar and other officers and employees were also present.
