Candle march in the wake of in-situ workers' attack on farmers in UP

During the visit of Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya in Lakhimpur Khiri district of UP, a scuffle broke out between farmers protesting against agricultural laws and son of Union Minister of State Ajay Mishra. Eight farmers were killed in the violence. In the wake of this, a candlelight march was taken out by the in-situ workers in Raikot under the leadership of state leader Comrade Daljit Kumar Gora and they chanted slogans against Modi and the Yogi government. On the occasion, Comrade Gora condemned the incident and said that the Lakhimpur Kheri incident in UP was one of the most reprehensible and shameful incidents in the history of India. During which, a peaceful protesting farmer was attacked by the son of a BJP minister along with thugs. Eight farmers were killed and several others were injured. He said that this incident was a huge attack on democracy during Modi and Yogi government, which had eroded the hearts of every true Indian, but the BJP would have to pay the price. In-situ workers including Prof. Pradeep Singh, Davinder Bobby Gill, Subhash Joshi, Mohammad Tosif, Mintu Nahar, Mohammad Asraf, Vijay Kumar, Karamjit Singh Sunny, Raja Taylor, Satpal Bhatti were present on the occasion.
