On the 21st anniversary of the social organization National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists (NIFA), a fortnight-long social event concluded with a musical program, "Music of the Soul" in which famous Punjabi singer Mehtab Virk performed. The song sung by Mehtab mesmerised all. Mehtab sang songs based on mother's greatness and father's sacrifice and then sang one Punjabi song after another. Hindi and Punjabi songs, Sufi songs and ghazals were belted out in the musical program held late evening in Dr. Mangal Sen auditorium.
The people of Karnal, who have been deprived of big events for almost two years due to the Coronavirus crisis, welcomed the event organized by NIFA in collaboration with Voice of India and CLAT India, which lasted for about two hours. The audience hailed the songs of Mehtab Virk as well as other local singers with repeated applause. The reins of this entire musical event were in the hands of Dr. Krishna Arora, who has a special identity in the field of music. Divyam Sodhi, Chandra Mehta, Bani, Dev Rawat, Gopal Sharan Singh, Anu Batra and Lajpat cast a spell with their songs.
On this occasion, CJM and Secretary District Legal Services Cell Jasbir was present as Chief Guest while DDPO Rajbir Singh Khudia, Punjabi singer Mehtab Virk, Convener of Nav Chetna Manch SP Chouhan, Dr. Krishna Arora, Karnal Chamber of Commerce participated as distinguished guests.
K Chairman Narinder Bhamba, CLAT India Chairman Dr. Anil Singhania, District Red Cross Society Secretary Kulbir Malik, and District Blood Bank in-charge Dr. Sanjay Verma started the program by lighting a lamp and enjoyed the musical evening.
The chief guest, Jasbir also praised the social welfare work being done by NIFA and appealed to all to come forward and support this organization. Originally born in a village in Karnal district and after graduating from Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Karnal, Mehtab Virk, who made a name for himself in the field of singing and gained acclaim in the country and the world for his excellent singing. He said that he is impressed by the works and he would definitely come whenever the institution remembers him.
