Chandigarh: The Rural Education Welfare Association (REWA), the only registered organization dedicated to the rural areas of Chandigarh, extended congratulations to BJP Chandigarh President Jatinder Pal Malhotra on being appointed Chairman of the Education Standing Committee under the Chandigarh Administrator’s Advisory Council. The organization, committed to supporting low-fee schools that provide quality education to children from underprivileged backgrounds, expressed hope for swift action on long-pending issues.
Led by REWA President V. B. Kapil, the association’s office-bearers and members met Malhotra and conveyed their best wishes on his new role. During the meeting, they highlighted the challenges faced by rural schools, including future of these schools and lack of administrative support.
The association expressed confidence that under Malhotra's leadership, these long-standing issues will be effectively addressed. In response, Malhotra assured that resolving the problems faced by rural schools will be a top priority.
It is worth noting that the Education Department has recently emphasized the importance of quality education and proper recognition for all schools. Malhotra urged school operators to work wholeheartedly towards improving educational standards, instilling strong values in students, and contributing to the overall development of their institutions.
