Kurukshetra: Kurukshetra University has achieved a remarkable academic milestone as Pushpa, a research scholar from its Department of Hindi, secured the first rank nationally in the General Category in the UGC NET JRF (University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test for Junior Research Fellowship) held in June 2025. She achieved a perfect 100 percentile, reflecting a commendable academic performance.
Registrar, KUK, Dr. Virender Pal congratulated her on the achievement and stated that clearing the UGC NET JRF exam is a significant accomplishment, both for the individual and the institution.
Director, Public Relations and Pushpa's research supervisor, Prof. Mahasingh Poonia also extended his best wishes to Pushpa and informed that she scored 250 out of 300 marks, qualifying for both Assistant Professorship and the Junior Research Fellowship. Prof Poonia further said that Pushpa is currently engaged in a doctoral study under his supervision, focusing on “A Comparative Study of Child Psychology in the Novels of Premchand and Charles Dickens.” Co-supervisor, Dr. Preetam Singh remarked that Pushpa’s success is the outcome of her dedication and hard work, and serves as an inspiration for other aspiring scholars.
