Chandigarh: Punjab Cabinet Minister Dr Baljit Kaur announced that PCS crash courses will commence at the Dr B R Ambedkar Institute of Careers and Courses in Mohali, with applications invited online and offline from September 17 to 26.

An entrance test will be conducted on September 30, and based on merit, 40 candidates will be admitted to the two-month programme scheduled from October 3 to December 2.

Dr Kaur said the institute’s upgradation is underway, with Rs 1.47 crore already spent and an additional Rs 1.22 crore now being invested to strengthen facilities and academic delivery.

She added that the honorarium for teaching faculty has been enhanced from Rs 700 per hour to Rs 1,500 per hour to attract and retain quality instructors.
