DHARAMSHALA : Students from Government Senior Secondary School, Thulel, Block Bhatiyat, met with Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania before watching the proceedings in the Tapovan Assembly. It is noteworthy that these schoolchildren belong to the constituency of Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania.
The Assembly Speaker informed all the students about today's proceedings in the House and the country's democratic system. Speaking to the students on this occasion, Pathania said that the Legislative Assembly and the Lok Sabha are the biggest temples of democracy, where important issues are discussed, the opposition questions the government, and the ruling party has to respond. Pathania said that after observing the proceedings of the House, the youth should understand its importance. They should understand what a democratic system is and how their representatives raise developmental issues of their constituencies within the House. He said that it is essential for today's youth to have knowledge of the parliamentary system so that they can become true guardians of democracy.
Pathania said that public representatives, through questions and within the rules, attempt to discuss the problems of their constituencies in the House meaningfully, so that solutions to these complex problems can be found through discussion. On this occasion, Pathania shared information with all the students regarding today's proceedings, the parliamentary system, and the conduct of the session, and wished them all a bright future.
