KANGRA : For some time, a worrying increase in new cases of Kovid has been registered in district Kangra, for which the Health Department has issued an alert. On June 3, where there were only 10 active cases in district Kangra, their number has increased to 119 on June 25. The weekly positivity rate which was only 0.8 in the month of May has increased to 6.9 last week.

Last week, two patients also lost their lives due to Kovid. The number of patients coming to various hospitals with ILI symptoms has increased. In view of this, CMO of District Kangra, Gurudarshan Gupta has appealed to all the residents of Kangra, to strictly follow the Kovid-compliant behavior to avoid Kovid.

Wear a mask, maintain a distance of 2 yards, wash your hands with soap and water from time to time. If any person is found to have symptoms like ILI, then he should immediately isolate himself and go to the nearest health institution and get his covid test done so that proper treatment can be done in time and we can stop this chain.

He said that by hiding these symptoms, we are putting our health as well as that of our family and others at risk. Along with this, all eligible people above 12 years of age should make sure to get their corona vaccination. Especially all people above 60 years are advised to make sure to get their vaccination dose. Be safe yourself and keep others safe too.
