DHARAMSHALA : New Pension Scheme Employees Federation protested fiercely against the state government in Dharamsala on Sunday regarding restoration of old pension and said that if the government did not fulfill their demands, the government would have to bear the brunt in the upcoming Vis elections. The employees gathered in the mini secretariat.

A pension resolution rally was taken out under the chairmanship of Rajinder Manhas, District President of New Pension Scheme Employees Federation. Addressing the rally, state president Pradeep Thakur said that if the government restores the old pension, he will support them. If the government does not restore the old pension scheme, then they will have to consider other options. For which the government will be responsible. Old pension scheme has been restored in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and soon other states have also announced their old pension restoration.

Therefore, keeping in view the humanitarian point of view, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur should immediately announce restoration of old pension in Himachal Pradesh before the monsoon session, otherwise once again the employees of the state will hold a big rally with family in front of the government in Shimla in the monsoon session. Till then we will not let our movement stop. Until the old pension scheme is reinstated.

District President Rajinder Manhas said that thousands of employees have participated in this rally. There is only one demand of all those employees that they should be given the benefit of old pension, till they are not given the benefit of old pension, they will all continue to struggle and if needed, the employees will not hesitate to take even more drastic steps, he said.

In the 15 assembly constituencies, 1500 families in every assembly are of NPS employees, who this time will elect the MLA by voting only on restoration of old pension and every district is now trying shoulder to shoulder with the state executive for old pension and without pension restoration. Mission repeat is not possible, he thanked all the employees of district Kangra who became a part of the pension resolution rally.

He said that the organization is struggling for the restoration of old pension and he is sure that through his struggle, he will definitely be able to get the old pension restored.
