4275 kg single use plastic collected so far under Clean India Mission: DC

Deputy Commissioner Una Raghav Sharma held a review meeting today to evaluate the targets regarding Clean India program by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. On this occasion, he said that a target has been set to collect 10,000 kg single-use plastic by October 31 in Una district. Out of which 4275 kg single use plastic has been collected so far. He directed the concerned officers to ensure the cleanliness of water sources in panchayats and cities. For this, take the cooperation of Anganwadi workers and youth circles. Apart from this, he also directed the officials to ensure the cleanliness of schools and offices. He directed all the BDOs and MCs of the district to collect single-use plastic at one place and get them destroyed on time. He directed the Nehru Yuva Kendra to prepare PDF of Clean India programmes at the sub-divisional level and ensure that the data is put on the national portal. Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr Amit Kumar Sharma, PO DRDA Sanjeev Thakur, Deputy Director Nehru Yuva Kendra Dr Lal Singh, all BDOs, Deputy Director Higher Education, Executive Officer Sandeep Kumar, MC Secretary and other officers were present on the occasion.
