Panchkula/Chandigarh: Director General of Prisons, Haryana, Sh. Mohd. Akil gave a cheque of Rs 50 lakh to Smt. Kavita, wife of late Sh. Rajender, Warder of Sonipat’s Nahri village in his office here on Tuesday. The financial assistance was given on behalf of the HDFC bank.
While condoling the family members, he also urged them to provide the best education to the wards of deceased as this will be the real tribute to the departed soul. The Prison Department will provide all kinds of facilities to them under its welfare schemes. Conveying his heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family, he said that Sh. Rajender would be long remembered for significant services to the Department.
Keeping in view the arduous nature of duty, he said that the Department of Prisons has taken important decisions from time to time for the welfare of its personnel. The financial assistance is given to the dependent under an agreement of accidental death insurance cover where the salary account is maintained with the bank.
