New Delhi: Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Harmeet Singh Kalka announced that, with an aim of securing a bright future for the Sikh community's youth through education, a historic decision has been taken to provide free education to children from Amritdhari Sikh families. Under this decision, children of Amritdhari Sikh families will now receive schooling in schools and colleges without any fees.

Addressing the sangat, Harmeet Singh Kalka appealed: "Let us all join hands to support the children of the Sikh community and provide them with high-quality education, so they can make a valuable contribution to building a beautiful, honest, and healthy society for the nation and the Sikh community."

He further stated that on January 26, DSGMC had announced that the education expenses of all children from Amritdhari families residing in Delhi—whether studying in schools or colleges—would be borne by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee. Amritdhari families can apply for this benefit by submitting a request letter to DSGMC.

Kalka emphasized that DSGMC's primary goal is to ensure our children stay away from addictions, become true G gursikhs, and have best arrangements for their education.Harmeet Singh Kalka added that on the auspicious occasion of khalsa sajna divas, April 13, a grand amrit sanchar event will be organized at Bhai Lakhi Shah Vanjara Hall in Gurdwara Sri Rakabganj Sahib. During this event, children and families who have not yet become Amritdhari are encouraged to take Khande di Pahul and become Gursikhs. He stated that families wishing to avail of this free education benefit can register their names at DSGMC's Gurdwaras, enabling children from Amritdhari families to fully benefit from this important facility.
