Punjab Cabinet expansion: Five new ministers sworn in

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann expanded his cabinet today. A total of five ministers were sworn in, which included Sunam MLA Aman Arora, Amritsar South MLA Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar, Guru Harsahai MLA Fauja Singh Sarari, Samana MLA Chetan Singh Jauramajra and Kharar MLA Anmol Gagan Mann.

It was the first cabinet expansion of the Bhagwant Mann-led government more than three months after the Aam Aadmi Party stormed to power in Punjab. With the induction of five more ministers, the strength of the Mann-led cabinet has reached 15, including the Chief Minister.

The Aam Aadmi Party had stormed to power by bagging 92 seats in the 117-member Punjab Vidhan Sabha during the state assembly polls.

 

Anmol Gagan Mann takes oath

Fauja Singh Sarari takes oath
Guru Harsahai MLA Fauja Singh Sarari take oath of office and secrecy.

 


Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar takes oath
Amritsar South MLA Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar, who was the pro tem Speaker, takes oath of office and secrecy.

 

 

Aman Arora takes oath
Sunam MLA Aman Arora is the first person to take oath of office and secrecy.
