"Aspirational surge among youth across country under PM Modi's leadership": Jitendra Singh

New Delhi : Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh on Saturday highlighted the nationwide impact of the central employment drive inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Rozgar Mela' initiative, Speaking during the Rozgar Mela event, where the Prime Minister distributed over 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted personnel, Jitendra Singh detailed how the central institutionalised recruitment model has been adopted across various states, fueling a fresh wave of aspiration among young job seekers.


"Inspired by your (PM Modi) experiment with 'Rozgar Mela', many state governments have also started organising similar job fairs for state-level recruitment. More than 5.5-6 lakh jobs have been made so far through job fairs held in states like UP, Rajasthan, Bihar, Assam, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Tripura, etc," Singh noted.


The Minister emphasised that the streamlined execution of these employment fairs under the Prime Minister's leadership has fundamentally revitalised the public sector hiring landscape. "This has also resulted in an aspirational surge among youth across the country under the Prime Minister's leadership," he added.


Jitendra Singh further observed that since its launch, the Rozgar Mela framework has substantially enhanced transparency and brought strict timeline discipline to recruitment agencies. Congratulating the youth, the Prime Minister stated that they are stepping into their roles at a crucial juncture and will serve as responsible partners in the nation's growth story.The


Prime Minister expressed complete confidence that the youth receiving their appointment letters today carry within them the same spirit and energy with which India's young people are making their mark in every field across the world, and that this spirit must animate their public service.


"Viksit Bharat will be built through the efforts of youth who consider their work a means of serving the nation," asserted PM Modi. The Rozgar Mela campaign aligns with the government's sustained focus on employment generation and youth empowerment, integrating new talent into various central ministries, departments, and state administrations to boost public service delivery.


Rozgar Melas primarily target youth aged 18 to 35, accommodating a range of academic qualifications, including those who have completed 8th, 10th, and 12th grades, as well as ITI, Diploma, and Graduate degrees. This also includes trained and certified candidates who meet the National Skills Qualifications Framework standards.
