Amritsar :Miri-Piri Khalsa March, dedicated to the Miri-Piri Day of the sixth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib, commenced from Sri Akal Takht Sahib in Amritsar on Friday morning. The religious procession is being organized on the directions of the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
The march began with an Ardas following the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib and a Gurmat congregation. The event witnessed the presence of prominent Sikh religious and political leaders, including the Singh Sahibans, Jathedars of various Takht Sahibs, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal, senior party leaders, MLAs, former ministers, and the entire Shiromani Akali Dal leadership. A large number of devotees also joined the procession.
Held under the spiritual guidance of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and led by the Panj Pyare, the march aims to spread the teachings of Gurmat while reconnecting the Sikh community with the principles, traditions, and authority of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, as well as the timeless message of Miri-Piri.
