Chandigarh,: Honourable Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, held a productive meeting with Dr Vishwajeet Rana, Group Chief Executive Officer of GEDU Global Education, to discuss how GEDU's initiative to open Queen Elizabeth's School, Gurugram, the organisation's first school campus in India, is helping strengthen education standards in the state.
The discussion covered the school's approach to global curriculum delivery under the Cambridge International Curriculum, and how this model could help in Vikshit Bharat 2047.
Queen Elizabeth's School, Gurugram will welcome students from EY1 through to Year 9 at opening, expanding to Year 13 in the years ahead, with boarding facilities supporting students from across the state and the world.
The two also discussed how continued engagement between the state government and international education providers could support Haryana's longer-term plans to build global ecosystem for knowledge economy.
Speaking after the meeting, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said, "Haryana wants every child in this state to have access to the best possible education. We remain committed to working with institutions that share this vision, for the benefit of our students and the state at global level.
Dr Vishwajeet Rana said, "Queen Elizabeth's School, Gurugram reflects GEDU's wider commitment: bringing world-class education to communities across India, starting with Haryana."
The meeting marks an early step in what both sides described as an ongoing dialogue, with further engagement expected as Queen Elizabeth's School, Gurugram approaches its August 2026 opening and the partnership's scope for the wider state education sector takes shape.
