The Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Varanasi has been elaborately decorated with vibrant floral arrangements and festive lighting for Nag Panchami and the third Monday of the holy month of Sawan.

Garlands of marigolds and roses adorned the ceilings, pillars and entrances of the temple complex, accentuating its architectural features. The temple’s spires, domes and sacred symbols, including tridents, were also illuminated as part of the celebrations.

The occasion brings together Nag Panchami and the traditionally auspicious Monday dedicated to Lord Shiva during the Shravan month.

The temple complex has been prepared to accommodate a surge in pilgrims visiting the prominent Jyotirlinga to offer prayers.

Nighttime visuals showed the temple’s illuminated golden spires and domes against the dark sky, with light rain adding to the monsoon atmosphere.

The decorations highlight the special religious observances, during which devotees traditionally offer prayers to Lord Shiva and worship serpent deities as part of Nag Panchami celebrations.
