Chandigarh: Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij strongly reacted to the Swabhiman Yatra being started from Ujjain to Ayodhya under the leadership of Congress leader Digvijaya Singh over the alleged irregularities in donations collected for the Ram Temple. He said that political parties which have no issues, have become issue-less, have lost public trust and have already been rejected by the people repeatedly try to turn non-issues into issues.
While responding to questions from media persons today, Sh. Vij said that action is already being taken in connection with the alleged irregularities in Ram Temple donations and that a new committee has also been constituted. However, he alleged that the Opposition wants to obtain a “certificate” to prove itself anti-Hindu and therefore continues to raise such issues.
Taking a dig at the Opposition, Minister Anil Vij said that “There are instances of theft in so many other places as well. Why don’t they take out a yatra there? They are raising this issue only because it is connected with the religious faith of Hindus and they want to hurt Hindu sentiments. That is why they undertake such activities, he said.”
“Several AAP leaders face corruption allegations”: Anil Vij
Reacting to the reappointment of Arvind Kejriwal as the National Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, Sh. Vij also took a jibe at the move, referring to Kejriwal as the person who founded the Aam Aadmi Party and shaped its ideology. Vij said that the Aam Aadmi Party was formed around certain issues and alleged that the party itself was born on the foundation of lies. He said that when Anna Hazare launched his movement against corruption, there was no agenda in his movement to form a political party. The movement received widespread support from across the country, which was then used to form a political party, he added.
He alleged that the very practices against which the party had spoken during the movement were subsequently adopted by its leaders. “Today, corruption allegations have been levelled against several of their leaders as well. Therefore, there could be no one better than Kejriwal to carry forward such practices,” Sh. Vij asserted.
