October 27, 2026 07:57 PM

Panchkula: Paras MedCentre Mohali organised a Heart Health and Fitness Workshop featuring Dr. Deepak Puri, Chairman – CTVS, to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease prevention and the importance of adopting healthy lifestyle practices. The initiative brought together 100 participants for a health talk and health camp, focusing on heart disease risk factors and practical steps to support long-term cardiovascular health.

During the workshop, Dr. Puri discussed key factors influencing cardiovascular health, including stress, physical inactivity and dietary habits. He emphasised the importance of incorporating regular exercise, balanced nutrition and effective stress management into daily routines. The session also included individualised counselling on physical activity, helping participants understand the importance of choosing activities suited to their health conditions and fitness levels.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Deepak Puri, Chairman – CTVS, Paras Health Panchkula said, “Preventing heart disease requires more than responding to symptoms; it calls for an understanding of individual risk factors and timely action to address them. Regular physical activity, balanced nutrition and stress management are important, but people must also recognise the value of routine health assessments in identifying potential risks early. Lifestyle changes should be practical, consistent and appropriate to an individual’s health needs. Greater awareness of these factors can help people make informed decisions and take meaningful steps towards reducing their risk of cardiovascular disease.”

Dr. Pankaj Mittal, Facility Director, Paras Health Panchkula said, “Community-based initiatives play an important role in bringing preventive healthcare closer to people. Health talks and camps provide an opportunity for individuals to seek guidance, understand their health concerns and learn about measures to protect their well-being. Through such initiatives, Paras MedCentre aims to encourage people to engage more actively with their health and make preventive care a priority rather than waiting for health concerns to arise.” Through this initiative, Paras MedCentre Mohali reaffirmed its focus on community-based preventive healthcare, encouraging individuals to take proactive steps towards reducing cardiovascular risk and maintaining long-term heart health.
