EAM Jaishankar calls on Singapore PM Lee Hsien Loong, former PM Goh Chok Tong

Singapore/New Delhi, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday called on Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and former Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong.



In tweets, the EAM said that during his meeting with Prime Minister Lee he conveyed the greetings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and said that the two sides work towards an even stronger partnership post-Covid.

“Thank Prime Minister @leehsienloong for receiving me today. Conveyed greetings of PM @narendramodi .



“Emerging from Covid, we work towards an even stronger partnership.



“Our shared interests and convergent views help us cooperate closely in a changing world.”



On his meeting with former Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong, who is the Emeritus Senior Minister, the EAM said:



“Called on Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong.



“Discussed the global situation and our bilateral relationship. Always appreciate his insights and guidance.”



Earlier in the day, the EAM met with Finance Minister Laurence Wong and Health Minister Ong Ye Kung.



On Thursday, Jaishankar held talks with his Singaporean counterpart Vivian Balakrishnan, with Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies, the Singapore Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen and Home Minister K Shanmugam.
