Baddi, Shanti Gautam
World AIDS Day was organized by the Institute for Global Development in collaboration with the Glenmark Foundation. On this occasion, people were made aware of the organization's Covid Vaccination Center, Baddi's Government Hospital and RCH Vaccination Center. During this, Dr. Anjali Goyal said that every year a large number of people are falling prey to this disease due to lack of awareness. At present, there are a total of 223 AIDS patients in the district, including children. He said that the number of women is also not less than the men in the district. Dr. Anjali Goyal told that even after running awareness campaign people do not take precautions. Because of this, number of victims of HIV is increasing. Most of these people went in search of jobs from other states, truck drivers and most of them a new trend started in Himachal, which is increasing the speed of AIDS sharing drug injections. Actually, drug addicts are using same series while taking drugs. This is why the infection is spreading and these are shocking figures. Project officer Baljinder Singh said that unless we can eradicate these inequalities, AIDS will not end, for this we all have to make people aware together. The same health workers Pinky, Ranjana, Reena and Shweta came to the RCH center. Pregnant and lactating women were told to share their views about HIV infection. It is mandatory for the pregnant mother as well as her husband to have an HIV test in the hospital so that it can be detected on time and to prevent the transmission of HIV from mother to child. On this occasion, packets of prevention were distributed by the organization to everyone on the occasion of World AIDS Day.
