Various Sikh organizations have prayed at Sri Akal Takhat Sahib for the recovery of Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara, the Sarbat Khalsa installed Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib, who has been undergoing treatment at Deen Dayal Hospital under the Delhi Government for the last few days.
Jathedar Hawara is lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail, from where he was admitted to Deen Dayal Government Hospital on November 27 due to low blood cell count. But because of his namesake treatment for the last four days, the number of cells has come further down to 40,000, which is a matter of concern for the Khalsa Panth. Panthic organizations allege that he is not being treated properly under the conspiracy of the jail administration apart from the Center and the Delhi government. Prof. Baljinder Singh, Bapu Gurcharan Singh, Advocate Dilsher Singh Jandiala, Balbir Singh Hisar and Mahabir Singh alleged that only five minutes of meeting had taken place in the last four days. It is learned that Jathedar Sahib in the five minute meeting said that he would take pains on himself, but not plead with the government. His family and relatives are not being allowed to meet him by the administration. He has been shifted to ICU from the general ward. But they are not giving him any coconut water, kiwi fruit, mineral water etc. Even the dirt around him is not being cleaned. The Panthic leaders alleged that the doctors, directors and chairpersons of the hospital were deliberately tampering with his health. It may be mentioned that the MLA of AAP is the chairperson of this hospital. He warned the government that it was the responsibility of the Modi and Kejriwal government to ensure proper treatment of Jathedar Sahib. He said that the Khalsa Panth would have to shake the roots of the Delhi Darbar, if any harm was done to him. The leaders said that Jathedar Hawara should be treated at a good private hospital instead of a government hospital under the care of family members at the expense of the Khalsa Panth. The leaders of the organizations and the Five Singhs appealed to the Sikh Sangats at home and abroad to pray daily for the recovery of Jathedar Hawara in the gurdwaras of villages, towns and cities, as it is time to save the national warrior and giving a message of unity to the Delhi government like the farmers agitation.
