With the courtesy of Public Health Engineering Department and Vaso, capacity building program of 22 gram panchayats of water and sewerage committee was organized in Kamboj Dharamshala, Radaur on Wednesday. The program was presided over by District Advisor Rajni Goel. She said that along with water conservation, the quality of potable water must be checked, so that the quality of water can be known. This can prevent diseases. For redressal of complaints related to water and sewerage, the problem can be resolved by contacting the toll free number 18001805678. On this occasion, 194 field testing kits, water conservation related caps, pamphlets and leaflets were distributed to everyone to test water. SDO Ravi Nayak gave detailed information about the field testing kit to the members of the Water and Sewerage Committee and instructed them to take samples of the water. Whatever result of this sample will come, it will be marked on the website of the department. He asked the committee members to emphasize on water conservation, calling upon everyone to save water. Short films were also shown with the help of a projector, which was appreciated by all. The telephone directory of the members of the Water and Sewerage Committee was also displayed on the website of the Public Health Engineering Department. Kamaldeep Sangwan, Assistant Professor from HIRD Nilokheri said that the Water and Sewerage Committee should ensure that everyone in the village gets benefit from its activities and conduct VWSC meetings from time to time and discuss the work related to water. Also, get the leakage of the water pipeline fixed immediately. Junior Engineer Rameshwar instructed the pump operators to supply chlorinated water. BRC Rajveer Singh and Ashok Kumar BRC did online registration of committee members on the portal under FTK Training.
