PM Modi has given special status to Himachal in matter of development: Anurag Thakur

Hamirpur : Union Information and Broadcasting Minister, Anurag Thakur said on Tuesday that the central government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had given special status to Himachal Pradesh in matters of developmental activities.

 

While addressing a public meeting at Bir-Bagehra in Sujanpur assembly segment of the district, he said that with this status the state government will bear 10 percent expenditure for developmental works in the state and 90 percent expenditure will be borne by the central government.


He said that a bulk drug park has been sanctioned in Una for which the government would spend 1,500 crores and the private sector would spend 15,000 crores. In this, about 30 thousand youth will get employment opportunities.


Earlier, Anurag Thakur inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for developmental schemes worth Rs 10 crore 61 lakh in Sujanpur assembly constituency.


Speaking on occasion, he thanked the people of Sujanpur for the construction of Shivdham and Krishna Dhams in Sujanpur assembly constituency and now Shri Ram Dham has been built in Beed Bagehra, for which a very beautiful work has been done. He said that not only the people of the area but also the people from the surrounding areas will come to these three dhams. Rural development department has done commendable work in Himachal, the minister added.



He asked the district administration to prepare a calendar of one year for further development of these Dhams. In this, plan such programs so that these places are developed from the point of view of tourism and local people can also get employment opportunities. Efforts should be made to install solar panels in these Dhams so that electricity can be saved.



He said that projects worth Rs 200 crore have been approved for roads in Sujanpur assembly segment alone.


He said that it has become possible to get free treatment up to 5 lakhs to poor families due to the Ayushman Yojana being run by the Modi government. 12 crore toilets were built by the central government, 3 crore pucca houses were given to the poor. The central government has done the work of providing free electricity door-to-door, water supply from every tap to every household.



He said that the government has not kept any shortcoming in the development of Sujanpur Vidhan Sabha. The process of development will continue.

On this occasion he announced Open Gym at Beed Bagehada.



While inaugurating the Eat Right Fair in Sujanpur, he said that during the Amrit Festival of Independence, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India was organizing Eat Right Fairs across the country with the aim of promoting clean eating habits among the citizens.

Eat Right Mela was organized to promote the consumption of safe and healthy food items, nutritious and balanced diet, measures to prevent adulteration of food items and proper eating habits.


He said that efforts are being made to bring malnourished children out of malnutrition through POSHAN Abhiyaan. The message of right food should be sent to the people through this program.

He visited the food exhibitions organized in the fair. He called upon the people to take forward the movement from (Eat India to Fit India).

He said that everyone should make their own diet chart so that obesity does not come and stay away from diseases.


He said that free health check-ups and medicines have been given to more than 8 lakh people through MP Mobile Seva yojana.


On this occasion Rural Development Minister Virendra Kanwar, District BJP President Baldev Sharma, DC Hamirpur Debasweta Banik, SP Aakriti Sharma and other district officers were present.
