Mohali: The annual Homeland Diwali Festival was celebrated today by Homeland Heights Flat Owners Welfare Association at the society premises in which more than 300 residents enthusiastically participated. The entire area was lit up with colorful lights on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. Celebrity guests, Kuljinder Singh Sidhu & Gurnazar also graced the event.
Children in the age group of 5 to 18 years presented cultural programs. Apart from this, renowned singer Gurnazar Chatha, DJ, live band and buffet food were other attractions. UN Awardee and Founder of Helping India Trust, Ramniet S Mukherjee also put up a fundraiser stall of beautiful candles during the celebrity event. Social NGO's had a stall for the welfare of underprivileged children. Similarly, the stalls put up by a tarot card reader and Afghan Textiles were also appreciated.
The event was managed by the Homeland Residents Welfare Association (RWA) members and the property's management team. SBI Life sponsored the event, while Unitech Wires & Cables joined in as the co-sponsor.
